Do you already know what to do in November?

NOVEMBER ON THE ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE

NOVEMBER ON THE ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE
November on the Altopiano del Sole is a month of transition: the colors of autumn slowly fade, and winter approaches, bringing with it the anticipation of the first snowfalls.

It’s the time for the last walks among the autumn foliage, but also for bike rides through forests that are changing their face. For those looking to spend a weekend dedicated to relaxation and fine food and wine, November is a great time to explore the Altopiano del Sole and its characteristic villages.

In this new article, we talk about events and things to do in November on the Altopiano del Sole.

NOVEMBER WITH TASTE

BORNO

In November, the Sun Plateau welcomes back GUSTARTI, the event that combines the pleasures of good food with cultural discovery.

Every Sunday throughout the month, guests who book lunch at one of the participating restaurants will receive a complimentary voucher for a free guided tour of Borno in the afternoon. Each Sunday will focus on a different theme: history, towers, churches, Villa Guidetti, and San Fiorino — for a journey through the area’s history, art, traditions, and curiosities.
Places are limited, and reservations are required at participating restaurants.

PIANCOGNO

In Piamborno, the Apple Festival returns for its 9th edition, taking place on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November. The weekend celebration honors the flavors of autumn, local traditions, and, of course, apples.
Inside the fair at PalaVibi you’ll find markets, workshops, music, tastings, and fun for both adults and children.

CULTURAL EVENTS AND INITIATIVES

On Monday, November 3 at 8:30 PM at the former Convitto Olcese in Cogno, there will be the presentation of the book “Oscuri delitti ad Agra” (“Dark Crimes in Agra”), a crime novel by Treviso-based author Marco Marcuzzi. The author will be in conversation with Sibilla Clerici. Admission is free.

On November 7 and 8, Malegno will host two days of meetings, ideas, and testimonies focused on the environment, economy, and social justice during the event “Those Who Try to Change the World.

Speakers include Simone Ficicchia and Paola Del Dosso from Ultima Generazione, Elena Gerebizza from Recommon, environmental and health activist Gianni Sbrogiò, and Duccio Facchini, editor of Altreconomia.

It will be an opportunity to explore issues related to the climate crisis, sustainable economic models, environmental rights, and civic participation — with the goal of encouraging reflection and inspiring new ideas and perspectives. An invitation to act, not to remain indifferent, and to keep believing that another world is possible.
Admission is free, with reservation recommended at Eventbrite link.: https://www.eventbrite.it/e/biglietti-quelli-che-vogliono-cambiare-il-mondo-1855989898749

On Saturday, November 15 at the Piamborno parish theater, the “Unalome Film Festival” will take place — the award ceremony for the short films competing in the festival against gender-based violence.

The association Raccontando Pian di Borno is organizing “Dialect: Past, Present, and Future”, a cultural event dedicated to the dialects of Valcamonica (Pian di Borno, Borno, Bienno, Berzo Demo, Pezzo…), together with local experts. The event will take place at the Piamborno parish theater on Saturday, November 22 at 8:30 PM.

On Saturday, November 29 at 9:00 PM, Beatrice Cotifava will perform the monologue “Just a Woman”, inspired by a text by Franca Rame, at the Piamborno Parish Theater — in honor of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
