LIVE THE SUMMER ON THE ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE

Welcome, August!

On the Altopiano del Sole, August brings with it a rich calendar of events, perfect for welcoming the many visitors who choose the mountains for their summer holidays.

Those who decide to spend Ferragosto and their holidays in nature, far from the scorching heat, will find the Altopiano del Sole to be a prime destination. With its breathtaking landscapes, a wide range of outdoor activities and sports, and many events promoting conviviality and fun, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the summer.

In this new article, we present the main August events on the Altopiano del Sole.

AUGUST IN ANGOLO TERME

The month in Angolo Terme begins with the SAGRA DEI CAPÙ in Terzano, one of the most awaited traditional festivals in Valle Camonica. The stars of the event are the capù, chard leaf rolls stuffed with a filling made of stale bread, grated cheese, and a mix of secret ingredients.

From July 31 to August 3, the Terzano community awaits you to taste this ancient recipe during four evenings that will also feature live music and dance nights.

On August 9 and 10, the center of Angolo Terme celebrates its patron saint, San Lorenzo, with the Night of the Stars.

Two days of art, crafts, food, and entertainment, with food stands, a children’s area, music, animation, DJ sets, and the traditional fireworks show on August 10.

Following the success of the Anfurro-Sessa, the Mountain Poker mountain running series returns on August 15 with the Angolo-Vareno race, now in its 50th edition. On August 24, it’s the Mazzunno-Prave, and the fourth and final stage before

the final challenge will be the Terzano-San Giovanni, set for Sunday, August 31, which will also host the band gathering through the streets of Angolo Terme—a melting pot of musical groups from across the region.
