DECEMBER AT ALTOPIANO DEL SOLE
The most magical time of the year has officially begun, and at Altopiano del Sole the Christmas spirit lights up: December brings with it a rich calendar of events for young and old alike, filled with traditions, music, lights, and a great desire to be together.
In December, it’s also time to put skis back on your feet with the reopening of the Borno Ski Area Monte Altissimo (Friday, December 5), an ideal destination for families, perfect for those taking their first steps on the snow as well as for more experienced skiers. On Sunday, December 7, don’t miss the Opening Party, to celebrate together the start of the new season with an afternoon of music and fun.
During the holidays, the ice-skating rink will be open in the Dassa area of Borno, and in all the towns of the Altopiano numerous events are planned to experience the magic of Christmas.

DECEMBER IN BORNO
From December 6 to January 6, Borno lights up with lights, music, and traditions.
Throughout December, the historic town center comes alive with Christmas markets, music, and performances, leading up to the magical New Year’s Eve night, when celebrations will take place in Piazza Giovanni Paolo II to welcome the arrival of the new year together.
From December 6 to January 18, it will be possible to visit the mechanical nativity scene by artist G. Vanoli, set up inside the small Church of San Fiorino, an unmissable stop for anyone who loves Christmas traditions.
CHRISTMAS MARKET PROGRAM
From December 6 to 8, the historic town center hosts the Christmas Markets: a route through stalls of handicrafts, local products, and gift ideas, perfect for immersing yourself in the magic of the holidays.
On December 13 and 14 comes Dolce Borno, a weekend entirely dedicated to sweets and baked goods, for a delicious experience that will delight both adults and children.
On December 27 and 28, the town comes alive again with the New Year’s Markets, an ideal event to enjoy the festive atmosphere and find those last gifts before welcoming the new year.

DECEMBER IN PIANCOGNO
In Piancogno, Christmas is celebrated with a calendar of events designed for all ages.
For lovers of nativity scenes and Christmas villages, we recommend the Christmas Village by Michele Rodella and Catalin Marica, located at 17 Via Nazionale in Piamborno: the largest Lemax village in Italy, open to visitors starting from Saturday, December 6.
Also not to be missed is the nativity scene exhibition “Hope Is Born,” set up at the Sanctuary of the Annunciata.
On Sunday, December 7, the lighting of the large Christmas tree in Piazza del Municipio in Piamborno is scheduled, accompanied by Christmas carols and games for children.

DECEMBER IN ANGOLO TERME
Angolo Terme opens the Christmas season on Sunday, December 7 with an afternoon dedicated to Christmas markets, workshops for children, and the lighting of the Christmas tree in the town square, an event enlivened by the Santa Cecilia Band and the primary school children’s choir.
On Monday, December 8, starting at 3:00 PM, the Terzano Oratory will host an afternoon dedicated to children, who can have fun making Christmas-themed crafts.
On Friday, December 12, while waiting for Saint Lucy’s arrival, everyone is invited to enjoy a tasty afternoon snackat the Angolo Terme Oratory.
On Saturday, December 13, at 6:45 PM, the lighting of the Christmas tree in Terzano is scheduled, followed by a community dinner.
On Sunday, December 21, at the Terme Park in Angolo, the event “Let’s Help Santa’s Reindeer” will take place a fun Christmas-themed treasure hunt designed for children and families.
Throughout the entire holiday season, the Terme Park will also be decorated to offer all visitors a magical atmosphere.
DECEMBER IN OSSIMO AND LOZIO
Ossimo is getting ready to host the traditional Sagra del Porsel, scheduled from December 26 to 28.
The event celebrates the traditions of rural culture: inside the cellars near Piazza Roma in Ossimo Superiore, visitors will be able to watch a demonstration of meat processing, over three days that bring together flavors, memory, and tradition.
On Saturday, December 6, the Casa Arcobaleno in Villa di Lozio will host a solidarity dinner for Srebrenica, featuring a traditional Mexican meal to support the Ekometa ecotourism village, with the participation of its founder Irvin Mujcic. It will be an evening of good food, friendship, and hope, with the possibility of overnight accommodation on site. More information about the project is available at:
